The Amazing Photography of 2012 (Part 2)Hello! :aww: For the last month I have been compiling a feature of the amazing photographs that were submitted in 2012. Black and White Stories #1

Black and white are colors - John Alton has stated, and no cinematographer in film history has more deeply explored the value of those colors, or the nature of the violent contrast between them, than has John Alton.

During August, the first #FeedbackFrenzy came to a close - over 160 participants and 40 teams wrote almost 2,000 critiques. I was blown away by the effort everyone put in, and the size the contest came to!! I am so honoured to have been involved of the organisation and coordination of such an event :D

Deviantart, you're F****NG AWESOMESo I got both a DD and a Facebook feature for my LA piece yesterday, and it finally just hit me how amazing this place is. All the love and support I've gotten here is mind-boggling to me. I would even go as far as to say that it's made my career. This is where I found my "audience", my first industry connections, fellow artist friends etc. This is where I first saw Dan LuVisi's King Kong piece and stared at it in awe for hours, and then had my mind blown the day I found out that both him and Rahll (Reid Southen) knew who I was! I mean, these were guys I was idolizing like fucking movie stars, and today I consider these guys to be good friends, even though I still havne't met either of them.. (I think they're just intimidated by me sexually.) But anyway, I always knew I could draw, based on the reactions from people around me, but I also always considered myself a complete nobody. Perhaps because I was such a fucking deadbeat loser in "real life", getting fired from jobs in grocery sto
